Billing Information

Fees & Billing

Our clinic is a private billing practice. Payment is required at the time of your appointment.
We are pleased to offer bulk billing for:
• Age Pension Card holders (65 years or above)
• Children under 16 years of age
• Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) patients (eligible cardholders)
If you are unsure whether you are eligible for bulk billing, please contact our reception team prior to your appointment.

WorkCover

Consultations for work-related injuries and illnesses are billed in accordance with the Victorian WorkCover Authority fee schedule.
Payment is required on the day of your appointment. Once your WorkCover claim has been accepted and you provide a valid WorkCover claim number, we can bill the Victorian WorkCover Authority directly for approved services. Any fees not covered by WorkCover remain the patient’s responsibility.

Transport Accident Commission (TAC)

Consultations relating to transport accident injuries are billed according to the TAC fee schedule.
Payment is required on the day of your appointment. Once your TAC claim has been accepted and you provide your TAC claim number, we can bill the TAC directly for approved services. Any costs not covered by the TAC remain the patient’s responsibility.

Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)

We provide direct billing for eligible DVA Gold Card holders and DVA White Card holders when treatment relates to their accepted conditions.

Medicare Bulk Billing Consent

Medicare has introduced new regulations for all bulk-billed appointments. In order for our clinic to bulk bill your visit, Medicare now requires your formal consent through a process called an Assignment of Benefit (AoB). By providing consent, you authorise Medicare to pay the benefit directly to your doctor so that you have no out-of-pocket costs.

How to Provide Your Consent

To make this as simple as possible, you can sign the agreement either before or after your appointment via:

📱 Text Message (SMS): You will receive a secure text link via our practice software to quickly review and digitally sign your consent.

📄 Paper Form: If you do not have a smartphone or prefer not to use digital options, you can sign a physical form at our reception desk.

⚠️ Please Note: If a patient declines or does not complete the required consent, we cannot legally process the bulk-billed claim through Medicare. In these instances, you may be privately billed for the full cost of the consultation.

Thank you for your cooperation as we transition to these new government guidelines to keep your billing seamless and secure.
